Awake from Hybernation: Convulsion Marks Return with Performance at The Auricle

On May 17, The Auricle in Canton, OH, hosted a notable event as Convulsion, the dubstep alias of Dillon Frantz, made his return. This event marked a key moment for the local EDM scene in Northeast Ohio. Organized by Henchman3 Productions, the night was the largest rave ever held at The Auricle.

The evening kicked off with Kandi Kid, who set the tone for the night. Three Pux followed, bringing their unique style to the stage and marking their first performance outside of Cleveland, OH. E.T. Hanet, another dubstep DJ, kept the energy high with a mix that included classics from artists like Linkin Park, perfectly setting the stage for the main act.

When Convulsion took the stage, Dillon Frantz from New Philadelphia, OH, showed why he is a prominent name in dubstep. His set, highlighted by the single "Caught Up," featured 150 BPMs of bass that resonated with the audience.

Outside of his music career, Dillon is dedicated to health and wellness. He and his wife, Ariel Frantz, run a virtual personal training business, reflecting his commitment to a balanced lifestyle.

Convulsion’s return was a celebration of the local EDM scene. The packed venue at The Auricle highlighted the growing interest in electronic music in Northeast Ohio. Dillon Frantz’s performance as Convulsion will be remembered as an important moment for the local rave community.
